EFFECTS OF DISSOLUTION ON BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION

The designation of a spouse as beneficiary is automatically cancelled by a dissolution of marriage, which occurs after January 1, 2002 (Probate Code sections 5600 and 5604). A Change of Beneficiary form is included in the back of this booklet.
