On January 4, 2005 Gordon Ford became the Stanislaus County Treasurer-Tax Collector and the ex-officio member of the Retirement Board. Mr. Ford spent 10 years as Chief Deputy Treasurer for San Joaquin County and prior to that, he was the Treasury Manager at the City of Palo Alto for 11 plus years.  He has also worked for the East Bay Municipal Utility District, Valley Nitrogen Producers, Pacific Gas & Electric Company, and Federal Home Loan Bank.

Mr. Ford received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and received his Masters in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance from the California State University, Long Beach.  He has been the President of the California Municipal Treasurers Association and has a lifetime Instructors Credential in Business and Industrial Management, Banking and Finance.

Mr. Ford has been married to his wife Cherie for over 20 years, and has three children, Valerie, Tracy and Ryan.
