No employer within StanCERA (including Stanislaus County) has made any promises to pay retiree health insurance benefits from employer funds. Stanislaus County allows retirees to be grouped with active employees for monthly insurance premium rate determination through the County’s arrangement for employee medical insurance with the Pacific Business Group on Health (PBGH). The StanCERA Board of Retirement currently contracts with Benefits Management Technology Inc. (BMTI) to manage these plans and to assist members with health insurance needs.
