New Employees!

A Guide for StanCERA's New Members Who need to Name a Beneficiary, & Learn a Little About Their New Retirement Benefits.

Welcome
To Your Stanislaus County
Employees' Retirement Association

Welcome to one of the world’s finest defined benefit retirement plans!

StanCERA’s Plan offers substantial retirement, service disability, non-service disability, duty death, non-duty death and retirement death benefits to eligible members, their spouses and beneficiaries, plus annual cost-of-living allowances.

StanCERA’s website at www.stancera.org will always provide you with detailed information regarding your StanCERA benefits.

As a new employee for the County, the City of Ceres, or Stanislaus County Superior Court, there are some basics you should know.

  • Contributions are age-based and are mandatory.
  • Contributions will be deducted on a pre-tax basis beginning with your 1st pay-check.
  • Your contributions are refundable only upon termination of employment.
  • You must name your StanCERA beneficiary as soon as possible. Once named, this beneficiary can only be changed directly with StanCERA.

Please take time to learn about your retirement benefits and share this information with your beneficiaries.
